A Shift in Study from General Linguistics to Artistic Linguistics

Natural languages include the commonly used languages,that is,scientific language and artistic language.Linguists have given an accurate and theoretic study of the general language,which has helped the prosperous development of general linguistics.However,linguists seldom study artistic language,and so have had little results.The application of the theories of general linguistics to the interpretation of artistic language does not hold water and even leads to some doubts about general linguistics.It is not general linguistics that is to blame.Linguists should devote themselves to the study of artistic linguistics,which will help a comprehensive understanding of linguistics,and human communication also needs artistic linguistics.Artistic Linguistics(1992) and Further Exploration of Artistic Linguistics(2000) published by Yunnan People's Press have offered us new ideas on artistic linguistics.
