Abstract
Animal experiments were commonly used for the study of human head neck region impacct injuries,but transition from animal experiment results to human body still remains a difficult problem. The purpose of this paper is to give the relationship between biomechanical behavior of skull in human and monkey.Biomechanical experiment on skull of 6 fresh cadavers and 34 monkeys were conducted.Elastic modulus Posson's ratio,ultimate strength and stress strain relationship of bone specimen from the skull were measured. The experimental results indicated that difference between the data for human and monkey skull were 10%, the strength of monkey skull was slightly smaller than humans.
