Abstract

The manufacturing industry in Yangtze River Delta engages in the task of labor-intensive sectors of technology-intensive industries,and occupies only the low end of the industrial chain in labor-intensive industries with traditional comparative advantage. The manufacturing industry in Yangtze River Delta,which is embedded in the low end of global value chain through vertical division of labor,must seek the industrial upgrading and move up to the high value-added upstream in order to avoid the risk of being marginalized or degradation.
