Abstract
Introduction: This paper begins from the definition of task and task-based language teaching and then goes on to state the features and advantages of task-based language teaching, compared with traditional language teaching. During the process of task-based language teaching, students are fully respected and stimulated so that they use the language in the real communication not mechanically but authentically. This paper is to illustrate the application of this teaching pattern with the teaching example of Unit Three in College English Book Four.
