Yolk Sac Size and Morphology in Evaluation of Early Pregnancy and Prognosis

Objective To evaluate the value of yolk sac size and morphology in early pregnancy and prognosis. Methods The yolk sac in 129 pregnant women were measured by ultrasonography, and compared in normal and abnormal pregnancy group. Results Obvious difference existed between the size of yolk sacs in normal and abnormal pregnancy group (P0.05). Conclusions The examination of yolk sacs by ultrasonography during early pregnancy can be used as a good measure to diagnosis early pregnancy and predict the development and prognosis of pregnancy.
