Abstract
Objective To evaluate the application value of recombinant 26kDa Glutathione S-tr ansferase protein of C.sinensis(rCs26GST)for the serodiagnosis of human clonorchiasis. Methods rCs26GST was used to detect clonorch iasis by ELISA and Immuno-ECL.Serum sampl es from other parasitic infections a nd healthy individuals were used as c ontrol. The sensitivity and specificity of rCs26GST antigen used for the detection w ere analyzed.Results30cases of C.sinensis infected sera were analyzed with a positive detection rate of the IgG antibody of 73.3%(22/30)for the rCs26GST antigen;40cases of healthy individual sera,15cases of paragonimiasis sera and 20cases of schistosomiasis sera were also analyzed, the negative rates were 92.5%(37/40),80.0%(12/15)and 85.0%(17/20)respectively.rCs26GST-specific I gE was detected,in 86.67%(26/30)of the sera from clonorchiasis patie nts,in 26.7%(4/15)of the sera of paragonimiasis patients, but was not detected in the sera of schistosomiasis patients an d the uninfected humans used as contr ols.The specificity of rCs26GST for IgE was 95.5%by the immuno-ECL.Conclusion rCs26GST protein has high sensitivity and specificity for the detection of serum specific IgG and IgE antibody so th at it can be used as a component of an an tigen cocktail for the serodiagnosis of human clonorchiasis.
