Abstract

High speed cutting is one of the main trends of cutting machinery and an important development direction of advanced manufacturing technology.Compared with traditional cutting,high speed cutting is an innovative manufacturing process and concept.This paper analyses the characteristics of high speed cutting technology and researches the key technology of high speed cutting: machine tools,cutting tools and cutting process.It aslo introduces the development and application of high speed cutting technology in fields of aeronautics,astronautics and automobile manufacturing,etc.
