Abstract
Based on digital image processing techniques, the influence factors of homogeneity of asphalt mixture were quantitatively studied. The research results indicate that homogeneity of asphalt mixture becomes worse with the increase of nominal maximum aggregate size;it is more obvious that the aggregates retained on 4.75 mm sieve influence homogeneity of asphalt mixture than the aggregates retained on 2.36 mm sievedo;both asphalt content and compaction effort influence homogeneity of asphalt mixture;experimental temperature influences homogeneity of asphalt mixture, which is manifested mainly in the change of porosity in asphalt mixture, not in the change of the aggregate situation.
