Abstract
The sludge can not be composted successfully because of the lack of organic matter. The effects of aerobic composting were studied by using green grass as the conditioner. The results show that it is favorable for composting of low organic sludge when green grass translates into organic matter by microorganism fermentation. The temperature reaches 55 ℃ rapidly and lasts for over 3 days when the forced aeration composting technique is used for disposing low organic sludge and fermented grass mixed with the ratio of 1 ∶5.This technique can kill pathogenic bacteria and stabilize the sludge. The test of culture of flowers shows that the matured sludge can act as effective organic fertilizers.
