Discussion on the Cultural Characteristics of the Folk Dance in Zhangzhou

Abstract

The folk dance of Zhangzhou is characterized by inheritance, mass participation, self-pleasure and national region. Its cultural characteristics are mainly shown in the following: 1) To reserve and show its culture by body movement; 2) Directly inherited by people; 3) Improvement from folk dance to stage craft. By discussing the cultural characteristics of folk dance in Zhangzhou, we should carry on their cultural pithiness and develop them on their aitistic practice.
