Effect of Ethanol Extract from Mrrubium incisum on Lymph Circulation in Rats

OBJECTIVE To explore the regulative effect of ethanol extract from Mrrubium incisum on lymph circulation.METHODS The regulative effect of total ethanol extract from Mrrubium incisum on lymph circulation was observed and determined in 32 rats by lymph microcirculation observation,lymph fluid drainage and lymph-rheology.RESULTS After ethanol extract from Mrrubium incisum was injected intravenously,the contractile range and frequency in mesenteric lymphangion at the dose of 6 g·kg~(-1)and the contractile range at the dose of 3(g·kg~(-1)) were obviously higher than that of the pre-administration and control group(P0.05).The lymph flow,output of protein and leukocytes in the highest doses group were obviously higher than that of the pre-administration and control group(P0.05).The lymph fluid viscosity of rats in the middle and highest doses group was obviously reduced,but no effect on lymph circulation was abtained at the dose of 1 g·kg~(-1).CONCLUSION The ethanol extract from Mrrubium incisum at higher dose can improve lymph circulation effectively by increased lymph contractility,increase the transportation of lymph circulation,and reduce lymph fliud viscosity.
