Abstract
The study focuses on the crystal morphology and surface structures of hydrothermal KTP crystals with double coil reflecting goniometer,double coil hand-goniometer and differential interference microscope.The composition and structure of hydrothermal KTP crystal are introduced.From the study the relations among the crystal morphology and the crystal structure,the surface structures and the growth conditions are revealed.Seed orientations and super-saturation of solution influence the growth of crystal velovity.It is concluded that crystal morphology is decided by internal structure.With the larger number index crystal face on crystal KTP at low super-saturation it will disappear at high super-saturation conditions.
