Abstract
To maximize light oil yield of crude distillation unit,a new deep-cut vacuum distillation process was recommended.The technical features of the new vacuum distillation process were described in respect of energy consumption,light oil yields and capital investment of equipment.The simulation calculations of crude vacuum distillation of conventional and new processes were made under the same operating conditions and at same capacity and by using the same crude.The unit energy consumption,light oil yield and equipment investment were compared.The results showed that the application of vacuum flash tower to replace vacuum oil transfer line in the vacuum distillation process reduced vacuum residue yield by 2%-4%,and vacuum cutting temperature was higher than 588.7 ℃,which was favorable for the deep-cut operation of vacuum distillation unit.The reduced energy consumption,lowered investment and start-of-the-art process provide a good reference for the design of deep-cut vacuum distillation unit and unit expansion revamping.
