Relationship between Social-economic Development and Land Use in Metropolitan Fringe:A Case Study of Dongli District in Tianjin City

Land resources is the basic foundation of existence and development.As the key production element,land resources has played a very important role in social-economic development of metropolitan fringe region.This research studied the relationship between social-economic development and land-use changes of Dongli District in Tianjin City.The results indicated that,along with the rapid social-economic development,the cultivated land decreased quickly,and the construction land in towns enlarged.In recent years,Village Relocation and Combination in new countryside construction has brought up intensivism on rural residential land,and the key of urbanization in Dongle District is the transformation from peasant to citizen in the future.At last,in allusion to problems and orientation in land use of Dongle District,this article put forward some strategies and countermeasures,which may help to advance urban and rural social-economic development.
