Abstract
With Wenchong village as an example, this paper investigates the basic situations of the village including housing construction, building quality, property rights and so on. Using GIS technology, it evaluates the cost of the renovation and presents several renovation schemes. It proves that GIS plays an active and effective role in the urban renovation in the aspects of evaluation and decision-making.
