Abstract

Firstly, some main methods for identifying tendency of spontaneous combustion of coal were evaluated, and the shortages of the method for identifying tendency of spontaneous combustion of coal by oxygen adsorption with chromatograph in China were indicated.Simultaneity, some principles about identifying the tendency of spontaneous combustion of coal were brought forward.Based on the fundamental theory of coal to self-ignite and the adiabatic oxidation equation, the adiabatic oxidation equipment was designed and manufactured.Through the theory of adiabatic oxidation and the simulation experiments of spontaneous combustion of coal, activation energy E,which is the kinetic parameter of low-temperature oxidation of coal,is chosen as a new index of tendency of coal to self-ignite,and the activation energy of three coal samples were obtained by testing. At last, the practicability and correctness of the new index were proved through comparing spontaneous combustion period with physisorption of oxygen and activation energy E.
