Abstract

Being a new development conception,sustainable development has become a strategic pattern for the social and economic development of many countries in the world. This paper, by analyzing the faults of the traditional economic growth theory and by reviewing its historical development, discusses the implications of sustainable development and indicates that the new development is the only choice human beings can make for the existence and development of human society.
