Abstract

Considering the characteristic of knowledge economy,the author tries to explain thoot the gap broadens between the East and the West in China,elaborate upon the role of education in economic development.In development of the west regions,the causes of the backwardness in education must be analyzed,and as a matter of fact,to solve the problem of the backwardness in education will be the only effective way to develop the west.
