The effect of treatment of uterine leiomyoam accompanied with anemia with mifepristone before the operation

Objective:To study the results in treating uterine leiomyoma accompamied with anemia with mifepristone before operation.Methods:34 patients with uterine Leiomyoma accompanied with anemia who would do hysterectomy were divided into two groups.Mifepristione group(19 patients) was treated by mifepristone 12.5mg/day po for three months,and then was operated.Control group (15 patients)was done elective operation after correoting anemia.Results:study group:Operative time was shorter,bleeding infraoperative was less.No patient was transfused blood.Hemoglobin and hematocrit within 24 h postoperative was higher than that of control group.There were signifcant differences between two groups.Days in the hospital and postoperative diseased incidence was less,but there were not significant differences.Conclusion:To treat uterine Leiomyoma accompanued with anemia with mifepristone before operation has better result and is worthing spreading.
