Abstract

The metallogenic geological setting in Qiongheba area is discussed.Details of the porphyry copper’s metallogenic characteristics and setting for the Yunyingshan porphyry copper are described including, geology and mineralizing features of 35 porphyries in 15km2 region from Yunyingshan to Wudonggou area. The metallogenic and geological conditions, mineralization features, and chemical exploration anomalies of the Qiongheba area are described. The Yunyingshan porphyry copper is compared and contrasted to the giant Oyu Tolgoi Cu-Au deposit in Mongolia. The Qiongheba region is very prospective for porphyry copper deposits. We suggest increasing exploration in region of interest.
