Abstract
Combined with the status of agricultural non-point source pollution in China, the nitrogen removal efficiency for agricultural non-point pollution by artificial wetland with different wetland plants and flow modes has been analyzed. This paper, based on the discussion of nitrogen removal mechanism, explained nitrogen removal efficiency by plants and water flow modes and got conclusions as follows:Different wetland plants have different nitrogen purification effect, but generally the biomass is bigger and root more developed, the purification effect is better. In wetland system denitrification process, most nitrogen is removed by microbial function, and composite wetland and root developed wetland plant have good facilitation for microbes.
