Study of Intercropping Pattern on Cotton and Radish

The planting pattern,yield,main agronomic character,fiber quality and economic efficiency of the intercropping of cotton and radish were researched.The results showed that the yields of radish and seed cotton were 72 060 kg/hm2 and 2 032.5 kg/hm2 in'1-2'model,respectively.While in'2-2'model,they were 50 790 kg/hm2 and 2 620.2 kg/hm2.The yield of radish was higher in'1-2'model than that in'1-2'model.On the contrary,the yield of seed cotton was lower in'1-2'model than that in'1-2'model.The net profit of intercropping cotton increased 60% to 80% comparing with that of the single cotton.The yield of seed cotton and radish varied greatly in different planting patterns.The growth properties of cotton plant except fiber quality varied greatly,too.However,there was not significant difference in properties of radish(such as length,diameter and single weight).There was not significant difference between intercropping patterns and control except uniformity.
