Abstract
Roadside landscape is developing with its own characteristics based on garden architecture landscape.It plays an important role in sustainable development of road landscape environment to applying the principles of environmental aesthetics to the design,construction and evaluation of highway project.The comparison of roadside landscape with garden architecture landscape is presented here,in terms of functional consideration and design idea of three type landscapes to reveal the characteristics of roadside landscape inherited form garden architecture landscape.Based on the study of cultural concept and landscape assessment,reasonable road landscape design and assessment were also discussed to find out the similarities and differences between roadside landscape and landscape of gardens and architecture.
