Analysis the rseult of bronchial artery embolization in treating large hymoptysis

Objective:To detect the value of bronchial artery embolization in treating large hymoptysis.Methods:33 cases of large hymoptysis were performed through using choise interventional therapy of bronchial artery embolization.All cases were followed up with treatmeat effects for 10～80 months.Results:33 cases were cathetered and embolizated successfully by only once and the quick hemostasis rate was 87.8%.Among them,there were 72.7% cured,21.2% significant,and 6% good.The efficient rate was 100% and recurrent was 18%.All cases had no complication occured.Conclusion:Choise bronchial artery embolization had advantage of operating facility and safty,slight invasion and less complication.It's the only therapy method for hymoptysis imvalid to control the bleeding quickly that conservative medical therapy was unsuccessful or surgical treatment was refused or contraindicated.
