Abstract
Qu Qiu-bai,one of the early leaders of the Communist Party of China, was one who first established the cultural mentality of Marxism in the Party. His contributions to the cultural establishments are as follows: First, he afforded the Party's early cultural movement some theoretical basis. Second, he put up a correct attitude to Chinese and Western culture. Finally, he furnished the Party's Left-wing movement in literature and art with theoretical guidance.
