Abstract

This paper addressed issues on water resources management under climate change impacts and the basic connotation of adaptive management. Then introduced the research progress both at home and abroad on water resources adaptation management to cope with the effects of climate change, and summarized several different analysis methods for evaluation of adaptive management strategies currently. It shows that the quantitative analysis of the economic benefits of adaptive countermeasures is the key problem. Cost-benefit analysis includes five steps as follows: the curve of baseline climate situation, the curve of baseline economic value,post-adaptation changes in curve, climate induced change curve to baseline and the curve of benefit changes by post-adaptation and climate change
