Discussing on the Clutch Size of the Great Tits (Parus major) in Artificial Nest-boxes

Abstract

This paper studied the clutch size of the Great Tits from 2004 to 2006.The results show that the familiar clutch size of the Great Tits is 10-12 Entries in artificial nest-boxes,the average clutch size 10.24±1.87(n=157),the egg weight 1.47±0.12g(n=484),the size of the egg 1.646±0.063×1.287±0.045cm(n=484).the egg weight difference is prominence(P0.05).The egg length pathway doesn’t exist significant difference,but the egg short pathway exists significant difference.The research means affords a sort of demonstration for other Aves investigation.
