Abstract
Leisure poems were the major contribution of Bai Juyi in his career.With the environment and Bai's personal characteristics in the Mid-Dang Dynasty,he was deeply influenced by the political system and social life at that time,by Confucianism and Tao Yuanming's reclusive life.As a means of console to himself,Bai Juyi composed a large number of leisure poems with rich contents that embody the Confucian thoughts and the outlook of the life that Bai held.
