The history of the Chinese Communist Party is one of the integration of Marxism\|Leninism with Chinese realities in a constant process of enrichment and development. In this history Mao Zedong Thought is a source which occupies a crucially important place. Mao Zedong Thought, as the guiding thought of the whole Party, was the first fruit of the integration of Marxism with Chinese realities. After the founding of the PRC Mao Zedong Thought enjoyed fresh developments in the fields of government and party construction, intellectual and cultural, economic, and foreign policy. As it enters the 21 st century, the Communist Party is introducing new theoretical innovations, and Mao Zedong Thought retains its important guiding significance.
