Abstract
Aim To detect the antifungal activity of the induced hemolymph of housefly larva using liquid growth inhibition assays.Method Antifungal activity of the hemolymph induced with Escherichia coli was detected,compared with controls (negative,antifungal drug and the hemolymph digested by protease K.We also detected antifungal activity of the hemolymph after being heated by removing denatured protein at 80℃ 5min.Results The induced hemolymph had antifungal activity,which could be destroyed by protease K,and still could be detected after removing denatured protein from it,and could inhibite the growth of Candida albicans including both the sensitive strain and the resistent strain to fluconazole.Conclusion The induced hemolymph of housefly larva has antifungal activity.
