Abstract
These wetlands’ ecological restoration projects in China which has already started, is being carried out and will soon start were briefly reviewed and summarized. Scientific, objective and accurate assessment of wetland ecological restoration effects not only was important elements of these wetlands’ ecological restoration projects, but also could provide important guidance to the further implementation of wetlands’ ecological restoration projects. Based on a systematic summary of the study progresses on effects evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration in China, the existed and existing problems on the effects evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration had been summed up, including: the study on theoretical framework of evaluation was lack and the evaluation methods were too simple; the evaluation indicators system was not comprehensive and the evaluation criteria were lack or unreasonable; the evaluation methods were simple and backward; lack of comparative analysis between the different methods of effects’ evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration; it was lack of sensitivity-analysis and contribution rate analysis of the evaluation factors of ecological restoration effects; it also was lack of the conclusions of the ecological restoration mechanisms and modalities after evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration effects; and it was lack of the guiding role research of the evaluation results to the follow-up ecological restoration work. At last, the future research on evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration effects were put forward, including the creation for the theoretical framework of evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration effects and the development of the evaluation ideas, strengthening the wetlands ecological restoration monitoring and perfecting the evaluation indicators’ system, identification the reference system and the evaluation criteria set of evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration effects, and strengthening the application of new technologies and new approaches and comparative studies between different methods of evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration effects, and strengthening sensitivity-analysis and contribution rate analysis of the evaluation factors of ecological restoration effects, and strengthening the conclusions of the ecological restoration mechanisms and modalities after evaluation of wetlands’ ecological restoration effects, and strengthening the guiding role research of the evaluation results to the follow-up ecological restoration work.
