Abstract
A method of rotor position and motor speed detection in DC motor control system is introduced. This method transforms analog signal of resolve to digital signal by using a novel resolver-digital converter AD2S1210.The position and speed signals are read and stored in the corresponding addresses by using the FPGA. The working principle of AD2S1210 is analyzed. A practical communication interface solution of hardware and software between AD2S1210 and FPGA is described in detail. The experimental results show that this method can accurately detect the rotor position and motor speed so as to realize the more precise closed loop control of DC motor.
