Abstract

The largely distributed karst area in South China is representative karst terrain in the world,and is rich in nature resources,but environmentally frail.This paper studies the specific natural characters and socio-economic function in the karst area of South China and proposes a number of eco-environment protection strategies and measures for sustainable development of population,resources and environment in the karst region so as to facilitate the application to the world natural heritage.
