Abstract

The layout of the steel plate is a major factor that affects the seismic performance of steel-concrete composite shear walls.Numerical model of two steel-concrete composite shear walls, one with concealed steel truss and the other with steel plate, are verified firstly in this paper, then two shear walls with the same steel ratio are analyzed under cyclic loads. The carrying capacity, stiffness, degradation of strength and stiffness, ductility, energy dissipation characteristics and hysteresis characteristics of the two walls are compared. The result proves that the carrying capacity, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of the RC shear wall with concealed steel truss are obviously stronger than that of the steel plate reinforced concrete shear wall in the case of same steel ratio.
