Abstract
The core-shell poly acrylate emulsion was prepared from n-butyl acrylate BA ,methyl methacrylate MMA vinyl acetate Vac as the base monomers, acrylic acid AA as the functional monomer, and vinyl versatate(VeoVa10)as the modifying monomer by semi-continual seed emulsion polymerization. The effects of reaction temperature, emulsifier, initiator and functional monomer on emulsion performance were studied. The further researchs about emulsifier and modifying monomer were done by single factor experiments. The copolymers were characterized by FT-IR and DSC.The results indicated that the radical copolymerization between the monomers was conducted and the emulsion particles have a core-shell structure.
