Abstract

Objective To explore the characteristics expression c jun and c fos on visual system during monocular deprivation. Method F VEP and RT PCR were used to test amblyopia and the level c jun mRNA and c fos mRNA respectively.Result The level of c fos mRNA reduced in controlateral visual cortex of deprivated cats in its early stages ( P 0.05), and there was no significant differences compared with those in ipsilateral visual cortex( P 0.05); The level of c jun mRNA increased during the early stage in the test group, and then decreased in the following period ( P 0.05).Conclusion The level of c fos mRNA in both cat visual cortex with monocular vision deprived is not balancing, but the level of c jun mRNA is balancing in both visual cortex.
