Abstract

For the first time, a novel method for the extraction of antimicrobial and antioxidant agents(AMA) from licorice residue using organic solvent method was described. Influences of extraction conditions, such as extraction method, extraction solvent and laying time on the AMAOA extraction were studied. The extracts contained flavonoids as the main constituent. 9,12,15-octadecatrienoic acid, ethyl ester was the bioactivity component separated from licorice residue for the first time.
