Abstract

BACKGROUND The cases of cecum cancer combined with appendicitis are less seen. The cecum tumors are usually ignored in clinic and easy to misdiagnosis as appendicitis to influence the treatment. CASE REPORT 3 cases of cecum tumors that were misdiagnosed as appendicitis were performed, and the right hemicolectomy was performed after transferring. DISCUSSION If patients are not fit with appendicitis in operation, the cecum and the part of ascending colon must be checked and the appendix sample must be examined by pathology to anti misdiagnosis.
