The Philosophy of Lotman' Cultural Semiotics

Russia is a significant part of the study of semiotics in the world so a deep study of semiotics in Russia is helpful to grasp the overall picture of the study of semiotics.Lotman's theory,doing semiotics from the perspective of literature,is called the cultural semiotics.He constructed a systematic structure theory for text and discussed the means of employing semiotics in culture.His theory of culture typology is used in different kinds of study of comparison.It makes a mechanism for the comparative study of different culture in various time and space,hoping to get rid of cultural inequality and prejudice.
