Abstract
Objective To explore the role of targeted nursing intervention on improving the quality of sleep in elderly patients with cardiovascular disease. Methods 80 cases of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease in our hospital from January to June 2012 were chosen, and given sleep targeted nursing intervention, after two weeks of nursing intervention,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality, and compared before and after intervention. Results After two weeks of nursing intervention, sleep quality improved significantly, sleep quality scores before and after compared, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05);after intervention, patients with difficulty falling asleep, sleep time reducing, waking, use of hypnotic drugs were significantly reduced, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Targeted sleep care can effectively improve the quality of sleep of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease, which will help the rest of patients patients and promote disease recovery.
