THE CLINICAL STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF BIFIDOBACTERIUM ANIMALS V9 IN PATIENTS WITH CONSTIPATION AND DIARRHEA

Objectives To observe the therapeutic effect of Bifidobacterium animalis V9 on patients with constipation and diarrhea.Method One hundred fifty-three patients with constipation,acute diarrhea and chronic diarrhea were given B.animalis V9 freeze-dried powder for 3 w and the dose was 1.0×1010cfu/d.The defecation frequencies and fecal properties of patients were recorded every three days and intestinal microflora was evaluated before and after experiment.Results The effective rates of B.animalis V9 on patients with constipation,acute diarrhea and chronic diarrhea were 95.3%,95.4% and 89.9% respectively after po B.animalis V9 freeze-dried powder for 3 w,The number of bifidobacteria in fecals increased(p0.01) significantly compared with 3 w before,and colibacillus,enterococcus,bacteroid and clostridia also changed in different degree and closed to the healthy men.Conclusion B.animalis V9 can regulate the intestinal microflora and has communities,had remarkable cured effect on patients with constipation and diarrhea.
