Abstract

The thickness of veneer is the main factor that affects the strength of laminated veneer lumber(LVL). At the same processing condition,the thicker the veneer, the lower the shear strength and the higher the split rate.It's recommended that 4 mm thick veneer is used when non-structural LVL is made through cold press menthod.
