Abstract
The rainfall process above heavy rain level in Guilin is analyzed and verified by using Japanese numerical forecast products JFUFE502 and JFUFE503. The results prove its high forecast capacity except that the forecast value is a little bit lower than actual value; Its forecast performance various with the different weather system. Corrections should be made in the practical operation combining weather situation, actual forecast experience and other forecast methods in order to increase the forecast accuracy for heavy rainfall.
