On Professional Education and General Education in Universities

Through studying On the Philosophy of Higher Education written by J.S. Brubacher,we have had a clear understanding of the shift in higher education from liberal education to professional education and further to the combination of professional education and general education. Looking back at the history of higher education, we have come to realize that quality education is the inexorable trend of the development of Chinese higher education.Using quality education thought with distinctive Chinese features to guide Chinese higher education is of great importance both in theory and practice.
