Abstract
Turbo equalization is a technique which combines Turbo principle with equalization technology. This article mainly discusses the principles and compares different algorithms on Turbo equalization, then simulates Turbo equalization performances on representative channel. This article also studies and recommends an algorithm which combines approximate linear equalization (appMMSE LE) algorithm based on MMSE criteria with soft interference canceller (SIC). Simulation results show that the performance of BER is between MMSE based linear equalization and MMSE based decision feedback equalization, with less complexity.
