Clinical Study on Benign Parotid Tumor Exeision for Facial Nerve Anatomy by Microsurgery

Objective:To discuss the use and results of benign parotid tumor excision for facial nerve anatomy by microsurgery.Methods:This paper is to summarize and analyze retrospectively the clinical experience of 48 cases with benign parotid tumor underwent operation from January.2006 to June.2009.All the patients underwent the superficial parotidectomy for facial nerve anatomy by microsugery.Results:Four of the 48 cases(8.3%)had temporary facial paralysis after operations.And the four patients were recovered in a month after treatment.No permanent facial paralysis occurred in the 48 cases.The patients were followed up for half a year to three years,no one recurrence.Conclusion :The study indicates that it is helpful to avoid the damages on facial nerve and to excise the parotid tumor,after undergoing superifical parotidectomy for facical nerve anatormy by microsurgery.
