Abstract
Objective To analyze the architectural features of cranio-maxillo-facial hard tissues of normal occlusion in Chongqing region with Delaire cephalometric analysis,and establish the reference standards of Delaire cephalometric analysis of normal occlusion in Chongqing region to guide clinical orthodontic treatment as well as orthognatic surgery Methods Lateral cephalometric radiograph of 95 college students of adult normal occlusion in Chongqing (44 males and 51 females,18-23 years old) were evaluated The cranio-maxillo-facial tissue marks of each radiograph were measured with computer assistant Delaire cephalometric analysis The data from corresponding indexes were processed with statistics analysis and compared with the normal reference standards of French area Results Normal reference standards of Chongqing region were established,which having several differences in cranio-maxillo-facial hard tissue structure when compared with those in France Conclusion The normal reference standards of normal occlusion population in Chongqing region are obtained by Delarie cephalometric analysis,which is very helpful to orthodontic treatment and research work in the area
