Abstract
The purpose of developing rural adult education is to serve for new rural contruction and new farmers cultivation.Socialist new rural construction is for farmers and also relies on farmers.Training new farmers is the key to successfully building a socialist new countryside.This paper discusses the basic concept of rural adult education.Based on the characteristics and problems of rural adult education,the paper thoroughly analyses the function of rural adult education in constructing socialist new countryside and the strategy of promoting rural adult education development,and points out developing rural adult education suits new rural construction.
