Effects of Ursodeoxycholic Acid Combined with S-adenosylmethionine on Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy and Perinatal Prognosis

Objective To investigate the effects of ursodeoxycholic acid combined with S-adenosylmethionine on intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP) and perinatal prognosis.Methods Sixty-two patients with ICP were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 31 patients in each group.The control group was treated with energy mixture,vitamin C and S-adenosylmethionine.On this basis,the observation group was given ursodeoxycholic acid capsules.The itching symptom,total bile acid(TBA),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),asparate aminotransferase(AST) and perinatal prognosis were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,itching symptom,TBA,ALT and AST were significantly improved in both groups,and the improvement in observation group was more obvious than that in control group(P0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidences of cesarean section and fetal distress(P0.05).However,the preterm birth rate in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(12.90% vs 29.03%,P0.05).Conclusion Ursodeoxycholic acid combined with S-adenosylmethionine can relieve itching,improve blood bile acid and transaminase levels and reduce preterm birth rate in the treatment of ICP.
