Research on Western Mission Schools’English Enlightenment Education in Late Qing Dynasty

In the early 19th century,English education was introduced to China by western missionary school.In the early 20th century,theKui-Mao Educational Systemwas published by Qing Dynasty,which marked the official establishment of English education in China.From introduction to official establishment,it lasted near a hundred years.In this period,missionary schools played important roles and had brought profound influence for Late Qing’s English education,to some extent,It is missionary school that enlighten our English Education.In this essay,the author analyzes West missionary schools’English enlightenment education in Late Qing Dynasty from four aspects,that is curriculum arrangement,teaching methods,assessment system and talent training.
